In my 10 internet years, I have been a web application developer namely Vignette CMS in its tcl (pronounces tickle) days to an ATG Dynamo developer to JSP developer to Front-end developer and now a Joomla guru. I also love the subject of web analytics -- the data doesn't lie and accountability is coming into play in all parts of the organization. I love it! Justify your existance in a big corporation with numbers. It's harder to hide now -- you know who I'm talking about -- the fakers and the talkers. In the number world, I've worked with HitBox for 4 years when it was not a part of Ominiture. But my love of web analytics has grown more each day since Google launched its version two years ago. When I consult, which I do now full-time, I put Google Analytics onto every website I can get my hands on. Recently I recently joined the Web Analytics Association but have now twice missed Web Analytics Wednesday in San Francisco. Actually I would prefer to go to WAW in Paris or Rome but San Francisco is definitely a shorter commute.
Not long ago I discovered Women In Consulting which is exactly what I'm doing except singular. WIC is so awesome as far as support and networking goes. And if you haven't experienced it, WIC networking is different than other networking events in that nobody is looking for work. I mean NOBODY. No high-end sales pitch, no complaints about the "boss"... I love this group!
Since I left my corporate desk behind, I have met a lot of cool people who I would have never met if I had stayed in the corporate world. I'll name a few: Jacob Nelson, Steve Krug, Eric Meyer, Jeffery Zeldman, Andy Clarke and many more. I have since learned to communicate the internet engineering discourse to people in the real world. And my journey is just beginning.
My Professional life...
I specialize in internet strategy, design, and implementation. Using Joomla's content management system and other open source technology, I can provide the best possible internet solutions. I take pride in creating a really nice looking web site but one that also works! I make it easy for my clients to take control of the web site once I'm finished. Some clients don't really have time to maintain the site and prefer that I do it for them. That's ok too.

My Personal life...
I'm a proud mother of two sons: Luke is three years two months old and Levi is 14 months old. My husband Ben Olsen is a green realtor and one of The Olsen Team at Village Associates in Orinda, CA. When I'm not working and learning I enjoy spending time with my family and meeting other moms in the area.
